about

With a voice that comes from humble beginnings in his father's Kentucky church, Joseph's vocals glide through tracks with a subtle confidence that exudes soulful and smooth melodies. As a natural story teller, Joseph developed his penmanship growing up with five siblings and twelve aunts and uncles. He eventually went to law school and studied contract and entertainment law. Upon graduation most of his books were full of song lyrics and it was evident that he always had an affinity for music.

When Pharrell co-signed Joseph's first single "Breathe", it only propelled him to continue making rhythm soaked tracks. Following with placements on On My Block (Netflix), Queen Sugar (OWN), and Wuthering High (Lifetime), it's no coincidence that he's gained millions of streams as an independent artist.

Now based in LA, Joseph made the decision to release new music under his actual name reflecting the newfound vulnerability in his songs. His upcoming project, "Abide" will drop this spring which will feature his latest singles "Safe" (premiered on Lyrical Lemonade) and "In My Soul" which is currently featured on Apple's "New In R&B" and "Day One Indie" editorial playlists.

"fits seamlessly into the world of D' Angelo, Frank Ocean, and James Blake."
